CBSE Detailed Practical Exam Guidelines 2025: What You Need to Know

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a major step towards enhancing the transparency and integrity of student evaluations by introducing comprehensive Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Practical Examinations, Projects, and Internal Assessments for classes 10 and 12. These updated procedures aim to streamline processes, ensure fair evaluation, and maintain consistency in assessment standards.

Key Highlights

• Examination Timeline: Practical exams will be conducted from January 1 to February 14, 2025. Schools must strictly adhere to this schedule.

• Mark Uploading Protocol: Schools are required to upload marks for all practicals, projects, and assessments immediately upon their completion, avoiding delays or discrepancies.

Anti-Unfair Practices Measures

• Any attempt to influence examiners or use deceitful means will be considered Unfair Means (UFM).
• Examiners must report UFM incidents promptly, along with evidence, to the respective Regional Office.

Class 10 Specific Guidelines

• No external examiners will be appointed.
• Schools are responsible for preparing and conducting exams without practical answer books from CBSE.
• Schools retain all answer books after assessments, with no requirement to send them to Regional Offices.
