CBSE Opens Registration for Supplementary and Improvement Exams 2023-24

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the online application process for the supplementary and improvement exams for classes 10 and 12 for the 2023-24 academic session. The process for submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) started on May 31, 2024.

  • Application Start Date: May 31, 2024
  • Submission Deadline: June 15, 2024
  • Regular Application Fee: Rs. 300
  • Late Submission Window: June 6 - June 17, 2024
  • Late Fee: Rs. 2,000

The LOC must be submitted via the Pariksha Sangam link on the CBSE website: https://cbse.gov.in.

Eligibility and Process

Eligibility

Only students whose names are submitted through this online process will be eligible to appear for the Supplementary Examinations, 2024. The specific criteria include:

  • Compartment Candidates: Students who appeared for the 2023-24 Board examination and were declared as Compartment can register for the supplementary exam.
  • Improvement Candidates: Passed candidates aiming to improve their performance can do so in two subjects for class 10 and one subject for class 12.

Submission Process

Schools are required to use their affiliation number as the user ID and the existing password to log in for LOC submission.

  • Compartment Students: Must be registered by their respective schools.
  • Improvement Candidates: Passed candidates should approach their schools to be registered for the improvement exams.

Responsibilities of Schools

Schools play a crucial role in ensuring all eligible students are registered correctly and within the stipulated timeline. Key responsibilities include:

  • Submitting the LOC for all students in the compartment category by the deadline.
  • Ensuring accuracy in the submission to avoid any issues for the students during the exam process.
  • Notifying and assisting passed candidates who wish to improve their scores.

  • Class 10 Supplementary Exam: July 15, 2024
  • Class 12 Supplementary Exam: July 15, 2024

Results and Mark Sheets

The CBSE will issue a consolidated mark sheet to students who are declared Pass in the Supplementary exams, replacing their initial Compartment status from the 2024 board exams. This ensures that students have a single, updated mark sheet reflecting their improved performance.
