The NEET results were delayed due to a High Court of Madras order following a stay by petitioners who alleged discrepancy in English and regional languages question papers. Even though there was a speedy disbursal of the case, all the confusion caused by it has led to the delay.

After the exam was conducted in 10 languages, a group of students noted that the questions in all the papers were not the same and some regional language paper questions were found to be easier than the English paper.
