In an innovative move, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rolled out a major initiative in Ranchi to help students prepare more effectively for their board exams. A total of 30 sample question papers for Class X and 20 for Class XII have been distributed to students, providing them with an invaluable resource during their winter break. This initiative aims to help students familiarize themselves with the exam format and question types ahead of the upcoming board exams.

Why It Matters?
The sample question papers, designed to replicate the actual exam format, are expected to help students better understand what they will face on exam day. Niraj Kumar Sinha, Principal of Firayalal Public School, explains that these resources enable students to practice effectively and gain insights into the types of questions they can expect. According to him, this initiative allows students to build confidence and reduce the chances of being surprised by the exam structure.
Rajesh Pillai, Principal of Kairali School, also notes that the sample papers are crucial for developing time management skills-an essential aspect of board exam success. By practicing with these papers, students can learn to allocate time wisely across sections, boosting their chances of performing well.
Comprehensive Strategy for Success
To further enhance students' preparation, schools have planned a second round of pre-board exams after the winter break. This offers students an additional opportunity to assess their strengths and areas of improvement, providing a clear understanding of their preparation level. Combining sample papers with the pre-board exams provides a robust strategy for success.
