CBSE launches 'Udaan', to raise ratio of girls

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has launched Udaan, a project to mentor 1,000 (50% seats earmarked for students from SC/ST/ backward classes) girl students to compete for admission at premier engineering colleges.

Free of cost, the project will provide a course in online/offline format for students of class XI and XII to help them prepare for the JEE. Science students from any board who have scored a minimum 70% in class X and 80% in science and math and 75% in physics, chemistry, and mathematics in class can apply. The last date for application is October 27.
