The CBSE has postponed the board exams of Class 10 and Class 12. It has postponed the exams at many centres of the north east part of Delhi. The Board has released an urgent press note that CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams scheduled in North East Part of the Delhi were cancelled till February 29, 2020.

Earlier, CBSE has postponed the exams on February 26. The Board has also postponed the exams of Class 12 on February 27. It has taken this decision after the Delhi High Court has asked the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to respond at the earliest on the rescheduling of the exams on February 26, i.e., Wednesday because of violence related to the Citizenship (Amendment) Act. Justice Rajiv Shakdher had asked the Board to take the decision and convey the same to all concerned as soon as possible. The Board has also released a press release regarding the same. The CBSE has released an urgent press note regarding the ongoing CBSE board exams 2020. The CBSE Class 10 and CBSE Class 12 board exams scheduled in north east part of Delhi on February 28 and 29 were cancelled.

The official notice reads, "In view of the request received from the Directorate of Education, Govt of Delhi and with the view to avoid inconvenience to students, staff and parents, the Examinations scheduled for February 28 and 29, 2020 in North East Part and affected area of Delhi stand cancelled for Class X and XII for subjects.''

The notice also reads, "The next date of exam for affected students will be notified shortly. It may also be noted that all exams in all centers shall be held as scheduled from March 2, 2020 (Monday) onwards."

The CBSE has also postponed the Board exams scheduled on February 27, 2020. It has postponed the Class 12 exams due to continuation of the violence in Delhi.

The official press statement reads, ''CBSE has been conducting annual Class X/XII exams 2020 since 15 February 2020 in a smooth manner.''

It reads, "Based on the request of Directorate of Education, Govt. of Delhi and to avoid inconvenience to students, staff and parents, the Board has decided to postpone the following subject exams scheduled for 26.02 2020 in North East Part of Delhi."
