The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rolled out a new mobile application for the well-being of Classes 9 to 12 students. The Board has launched the "CBSE Dost for Life' app to deal with the psycho-social wellness of students. The app will help students and parents of CBSE affiliated schools to attend counselling sessions, expert advice, career after Class 12th, etc. However, the prime focus will be on the mental well-being of students.
The live counselling session will be held free of cost from May 10 onwards. The live sessions will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by the trained counsellors or principals. Students and parents can connect to a Chat Box as per their own time slots - (9.30 am to 1.30 pm) or (1.30 pm to 5.30 pm). Explore CBSE Dost for Life app details.

Currently, the CBSE's 'Dost for Life' app is available only on the Google Play store. The Board is putting its best foot forward to launch this facility for other phone users in due course of time. The CBSE Dost for Life app contains educational material on social, emotional and behavioural issues.
Earlier, the Union Government has cancelled the CBSE Class 10 board exams and postponed Class 12 board exams scheduled in May/June due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has also announced that Class 10 students will be promoted based on the internal assessment. The results of Class 10 will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion. The Board has asked schools to complete the process and release the result by June 20, 2021.
