CBSE declared the dates for 2014 board exam

As the new year strikes the students of X and XII standards have to buckle up for their board exam's ride. The Central Board for Secondary Education, has declared the date sheet for 2014 board examination. According to the the date sheet, the board exams for both the classes will begin from 1st of March.

 

Class X will start their exam with essay subjects like Marathi, Spanish, Painting etc., whereas, class XII will have English as their first paper. This year, 10% more students will be sitting for board examination in both class X and XII, revealed by RJ Khanderao, Regional Director of CBSE.

Dates for 2014 board exam

Class X exams will be over by 19th March and class XII will finish their board exam by 17th April. CBSE also fixed the timings of the examination and all exams will start at 10.30 AM.

Ankush Chopra, a class X student says "I am glad all the main papers will get over by March 15 as then we will be able to happily enjoy Holi, which falls on March 17."

Few students of class XII are not happy with the time table, as according to them proper gap is not given for main exams. "I have opted for both medical and non medical and I feel scared because there are only three days to prepare for Biology after Chemistry Exam and after four days of Biology will be Mathematics and," says Nitika Bansal, a class XII Science stream student.

As per the date sheet, the main examinations for class XII have been scheduled for 5th March (Physics), 11th March (Chemistry), 15th March (Biology), 20th March (Mathematics) and 1st April (Accountancy).
