CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following criteria to appear for the CBSE CTET December 2025:

Paper I - Primary Stage (Class 1 to 5)

Educational Qualification:

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed/D.El.Ed ET)
  • OR Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and B.Ed (Elementary)

Paper II - Elementary Stage (Class 6 to 8)

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks and B.Ed
  • OR Graduation with specialized teacher training courses as per NCTE guidelines
  • Candidates can appear for both Paper I and Paper II if they are eligible to teach classes 1 to 8.

Age Limit:

  • There is no upper age limit for appearing in CTET.

How to Register for CBSE CTET December 2025

Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

No negative marking for wrong answers
