CBSE Compartment Exam 2024: Check CBSE Class 10th and12th Compartment Dates Here

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the commencement dates for the CBSE 10th and 12th compartment exams, set for July 15, 2024. A detailed timetable for the CBSE compartment exams will follow the closure of application forms. The board plans to release the compartment exam schedule for Class 12 by the final week of May 2024.

Click on the 'Main Website' option.
Navigate to the 'Latest @ CBSE' section and select the 'CBSE Compartment Time Table 2024' link.
The CBSE supplementary date sheet 2024 PDF will appear in the next window.
Download the compartment time table for future reference.

The number of students categorized in the compartment category this year remains similar to the previous year. In 2023, 7.57% of students, totaling 125,705, were declared failed in one or more subjects, and this year, 7.54% have been placed in the compartment category.

Under the CBSE compartment exam rules 2024, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), the nomenclature has been changed from compartment exams to supplementary exams. Additionally, Class 12 students are permitted to enhance scores in one subject, while Class 10 students can improve marks in two subjects.

Students are eligibility criteria to appear in the CBSE supplementary exams

Class 10 students who failed in 2 subjects and Class 12 students who failed in 1 subject and are placed in the compartment category.
Students declared pass but wish to enhance their performance in 2 and 1 subject for Class 10 and Class 12, respectively.
Students who were declared pass but wish to improve their performance in 2 and 1 subject for Class 10 and Class 12, respectively.
CBSE supplementary exams will be conducted based on the same syllabus prescribed for the academic year 2023-24.
