CBSE Class 12 Exams 2021 Internal Assessment

  • The CBSE has permitted schools to conduct the Class 12 practical/ project/ internal assessments in online mode and upload marks by June 28, 2021.
  • The date of the practical examination or project evaluation will be decided by an external examiner in consultation with internal examiners.
  • Internal examiners should share the date of the practical exam and an online link with students well in advance.
  • Viva Voce should be held through online mode.
  • Internal examiners should take an on-screen photograph of each student during viva voce for school records.
  • The Board will release the project/ practical/ internal assessment for private candidates soon.

The official notice reads, "In subjects where external examiner has not been appointed, the concerned school teacher of the subject will conduct the internal assessment based on the instructions given in Curriculum in an online mode and upload the marks awarded at the link provided by the Board."

It also reads, "While uploading marks, it must be ensured that correct marks are uploaded as no correction in the marks once uploaded will be allowed subsequently. Both the Examiners should keep in mind that the marks allotted should not bunch towards the maximum marks which is highly unlikely in view of diverse levels of students."

Earlier, the Union Government has decided to cancel Class 12th board exams in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Students will be promoted based on the internal assessment. The official sources suggest that the CBSE will release the Class 12th result in the last week of July.
