The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) held the Class 10 term 1 Science exam on Thursday, despite continuous calls for the CBSE board exam 2021-22 to be held in hybrid mode. The paper started at 11:30 a.m. and lasted for one hour and 30 minutes. Students were given multiple-choice questions with no negative marking, as decided by the board.

According to the joint letter by parents, holding offline exams under these circumstances can lead to medical catastrophe. "Students have not yet been vaccinated, and roughly 3% to 4% of them have tested positive for the virus despite having been vaccinated. The Covid virus is likely to spread much further during the festive season, and exams scheduled soon after will become a super-spreader event if completed just in offline mode," it stated.
