CBSE Term 2 Exams 2022 Update: In a live webinar held today, the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE has stated it will be declaring the CBSE board results for students of Class 10 and Class 12 respectively even they have not appeared in one of the two term exams, or if they are unable to take up all the exams owing to COVID-19 based on their performance in either of the term exams.
The announcement was made ahead of the CBSE Term 2 Exams 2022 scheduled to start from April 26, 2022 onwards at a live webcast on modalities for the conducting of CBSE Term 2 examinations.
"The alternate grading scheme will be decided by the board at the appropriate time and will be in favour of students," Sanyam Bhardwaj, CBSE's controller of examinations said. However, students who fail to appear or remain absent in the Term 1 and Term 2 exams will not be allowed to appear in the compartment exams and will have to repeat the class.
This time around the CBSE Term 2 Exams 2022 will be held in over 7,412 exam centres with over 7219 exam centres in India and 133 based overseas. The exam centres this year have been increased by 1500 as compared to previous years to follow COVID protocols," said Bhardwaj.
He further stated that more than 18 students will be not permitted to sit in one exam all during the CBSE Term 2 Board Exams 2022.
"Three students in one row and a maximum of 18 students will sit in one classroom. Some schools are sharing concerns regarding adjacent students receiving the same sets of question papers, but we need to understand that the arrangement is to ensure students' safety," - the controller of examinations added.
