CBSE Board Exam 2025: Delhi Metro’s Special Arrangements for Students

With the CBSE board examinations set to take place from February 15 to April 4, 2025, for Classes 10 and 12, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is rolling out special measures to ensure hassle-free travel for students and school staff. As an estimated 3.30 lakh students along with thousands of school personnel are expected to commute via the metro, DMRC, in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), is implementing a range of initiatives to manage the surge in ridership efficiently on exam days.

CBSE Board Exam 2025

Priority for Students at Metro Stations

To facilitate smooth and stress-free travel, the DMRC has announced that students carrying their CBSE admit cards will be given priority at security checks and ticket purchasing counters. This measure aims to reduce waiting times and ensure students reach their exam centers on time.

"Students carrying their CBSE admit cards will be given priority during security checks at metro stations and while purchasing tickets at ticket office machines (TOM) and customer care (CC) centers," DMRC confirmed in an official statement.

School Coordination and Travel Assistance

In addition to station-level prioritization, DMRC is actively coordinating with schools to inform them about the closest metro stations and available student travel aids. Schools are being encouraged to display posters that provide details of the nearest metro station along with a QR code for quick and easy ticket booking. This initiative helps students and their guardians efficiently plan their metro commutes to their examination centers.

Special Announcements and Information Accessibility

To further aid students on exam days, DMRC has planned centralized announcements at metro stations, ensuring important information reaches all students. Additionally, a detailed list of metro stations located near examination centers has been made available on the DMRC website and official mobile app. These resources enable students to identify the most convenient routes to their exam venues, reducing any last-minute confusion.

Ensuring a Stress-Free Commute

By implementing prioritized frisking, ticketing benefits, and enhanced school coordination, DMRC is taking proactive steps to support students during this critical examination period. These initiatives are designed to ensure that students experience a seamless, stress-free journey to their examination centers, allowing them to focus on their performance without worrying about transportation hurdles.

With these measures in place, the Delhi Metro is playing a crucial role in supporting students during their CBSE board exams, reinforcing its commitment to providing efficient and student-friendly public transport services.
