CAT 2024 Registration Begins from August 1st, Know Steps to Apply and More Details

The registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 will commence on August 1, 2024. Interested candidates can apply online through the official CAT portal at iimcat.ac.in. The application deadline is September 23, 2024.

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will conduct CAT 2024 as a computer-based test on November 24, 2024. The exam will be held in three sessions across approximately 170 cities in India. Admit cards will be available for download from November 5 to November 24, and results are expected to be announced in the second week of January 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for CAT 2024, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least 50 percent marks or an equivalent CGPA. For candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories, the minimum requirement is 45 percent. How to Apply for CAT 2024?

Registration:

• Visit the official CAT portal at iimcat.ac.in.
• Click on "New Candidate Registration."
• Enter your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number to create a User ID and password.

Application Form:

• Log in using your User ID and password.
• Complete the application form by entering personal, academic, and work experience details.
• Select your preferred IIMs and programs.
• Choose your test cities in order of preference.

Document Upload:

Upload scanned copies of your passport-sized photograph, signature, and other necessary documents such as category or disability certificates if applicable.

Application Fee:

Pay the application fee online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
The fee structure is as follows:

• General category: Rs 2,500
• SC, ST, and PwD categories: Rs 1,250

Submission:

• Review all entered information carefully before submitting the application form.
• After successful submission, download the application confirmation page for your records.
