CAT 2017 Registration Date Extended: Apply Now!

Alleviating tension for students who have failed to register for CAT 2017, IIM Lucknow has extended the last date for the registration to 25 September 2017. However, it is to be noted that there will not be any further date extension for the same, as notified by the institute.

What does the CAT 2017 official notification read?

'The last date of registration has been extended to September 25, 2017 (5:00 pm). Candidates are advised to register and complete their applications well before this date. There will be no further extension,' reads the official update given by IIM Lucknow, the exam conducting body this year.

'Performance in CAT 2017 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process. IIMs may also use previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short-listing of candidates at various stages of the selection process,' it said in another notification published earlier.

How to register for CAT 2017?

• Log on to the official website - iimcat.ac.in
• Read the CAT notification and instructions
• Click on the link 'Apply Online'
• A registration form will appear on the screen
• Enter the required details
• A unique registration number and password will be generated
• Note down the credentials and use it to log in
• Pay the application fees
• Complete the registration process

Dates to remember:

• The registration will begin on August 9, 2017
• The last date to apply is September 20, 2017
• The admit cards will be released by October 18, 2017
• The CAT examination will be conducted on November 26, 2017
• The results for CAT will be announced in the month of January 2018
