CAT 2014 online registration commences from August first week

The Common Admission Test (CAT) for the year 2014, online registration will commence from the first week of August.

This year also, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indore will conduct the CAT entrance exam.

CAT 2014 will be conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes for IIMs and B-Schools across the country.

CAT 2014 will be conducted during a 20 day testing window between October and November 2014. The dates for CAT 2014 are yet to be announced.

This year, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will take the responsibility in conducting the CAT administration for IIMs.

The CAT is an all India entrance test for admission to the IIM's and other reputed institutions across the country. The new entries in 2011 included six IIT's, Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% of marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) from any recognised university.

Please Note:

• Candidates need to pay only once irrespective of the number of institutes he/she is applying for.
• The fees must be paid only in the name of the candidate as it appears in the 12th / Degree certificates. If the candidate name has been changed, candidate must produce the relevant documents.
• Fee once paid cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
