CAPF Recruitment 2024:, 1526 Vacancies, Know the Eligibility criteria, Application process and more

The Border Security Force (BSF) has commenced the online registration process for the recruitment of Assistant Sub Inspector (Stenographer/Combatant Stenographer) and Head Constable (Ministerial/Combatant Ministerial) posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). This recruitment drive also includes Warrant Officer (Personal Assistant) and Havildar (Clerk) positions in the Assam Rifle Examination 2024.

Eligible candidates can apply through the official website at rectt.bsf.gov.in until July 8, 2024, at 11:59 PM. The recruitment aims to fill a total of 1,526 posts, with 1,283 vacancies for Head Constable (Ministerial) and 243 vacancies for ASI (Stenographer) positions.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed the Intermediate or Senior Secondary School (10+2) exam from a recognized Board or University, or an equivalent qualification.
Age Limit: 18 to 25 years as of August 1, 2024.

Application Fee

Examination Fee: Rs 100.
Exemptions: Women candidates and those from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from this fee. All candidates, including those exempted, must pay the applicable service charges.

Selection Process

The selection process involves three stages:

  • Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Skill Test, Document Verification, and Medical Examination (DME/RME)

Exam Pattern

Candidates who pass the PST and PET will proceed to the CBT. The CBT consists of one paper with 100 objective-type questions, totaling 100 marks. The exam duration is 1 hour and 40 minutes. The subjects included are:

  • Hindi/English Language (20 questions, 20 marks)
  • General Intelligence (20 questions, 20 marks)
  • Numerical Aptitude (20 questions, 20 marks)
  • Clerical Aptitude (20 questions, 20 marks)
  • Computer Knowledge (20 questions, 20 marks)
