Canara Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 3,500 Posts

The Canara Bank has released the notification for engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026-27. The recruitment drive offers 3,500 apprenticeship training seats across various states and Union Territories. The notification was released on September 28, 2026, and the online application process will begin on October 1, 2026.

The application window will be available through the official Canara Bank recruitment process, and candidates are required to complete their registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal before applying.

Canara Bank Apprentice Vacancy and Stipend

The recruitment is for 3,500 Graduate Apprentice positions. Apprentices will receive practical exposure through training at selected branches of Canara Bank for a period of one year.

The monthly stipend for the apprenticeship training has been fixed at ₹16,650. The engagement is intended to provide graduates with practical workplace experience under the Apprentices Act.

Canara Bank Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying for the apprenticeship must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or institution.

The qualifying graduation should have been completed between January 1, 2023 and September 1, 2026. Candidates should also meet the prescribed marks requirement at the Class 12 or Diploma level.

The minimum requirement is 60% marks in Class 12 or Diploma for candidates belonging to the applicable general categories. For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.

The age of candidates will be calculated as on September 1, 2026. Applicants should be between 20 and 28 years of age, with relaxation applicable to eligible reserved categories as per the prescribed rules.

Canara Bank Apprentice Application Fee 2026

Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories are exempted from paying the application fee. Candidates belonging to UR, OBC, EWS and other applicable categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹500.

The fee has to be paid online while completing the application process.

Canara Bank Apprentice Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a merit list prepared using their Class 12 or Diploma marks. There is no separate written examination mentioned for shortlisting applicants.

Candidates shortlisted through the merit process will subsequently undergo local language testing, document verification and medical fitness examination. Applicants who have studied the relevant local language at the Class 10 or Class 12 level are exempt from appearing for the local language test.
