Bureau Of Indian Standards: Apply Online For 150 Scientist 'B' Posts From March 2 Onwards

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Govt. of India, has invited online applications from qualified and interested candidates for filling 150 vacancies to the post of Scientist-'B' in the specified engineering disciplines comprising Mechanical, Metallurgical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Chemical, Computer, Food Technology, Bio-Technology, Petro-Chemical and Bio-medical Engineering through direct recruitment to be posted at Delhi. The online registration-cum-application process towards the same starts from March 2, 2020 and closes on March 31, 2020.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for Scientist-'B' posts under the Bureau of Indian Standards must not more than 30 years of age as on March 31, 2020, with relaxation (upper age limit) up to 33 years (OBC), 35 years (SC/ST) and 40 years (PWD) respectively.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 100 as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit, etc, payment gateways) mode only. SC/ST/PWD and Women candidates, however, are exempted from paying the application fee.

Discipline Wise Vacancy Details

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Desirous candidates applying for Scientist-'B' posts under the Bureau of Indian Standards must possess a B.E/B.Tech/Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering discipline from a recognised University/Institute, and must have a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score of 2018/2019/2020 in the concerned discipline as detailed in the notification.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates to Scientist-'B' posts under the Bureau of Indian Standards will be done through a Shortlisting based On GATE 2018, GATE 2019, GATE 2020 Score, Personal Interview (PI) and Final Merit List.

Candidates selected to Scientist-'B' posts under the Bureau of Indian Standards will be paid an emolument of Rs. 87,000 per month.
