The Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) has announced a significant recruitment campaign for 2024, offering 2610 vacancies across various positions. These positions encompass roles such as Technician Grade 3, Junior Accounts Clerk, Assistant Executive Engineer (GTO), Junior Electrical Engineer (GTO), Correspondence Clerk, and Store Assistant.

The recruitment notification was issued on March 6, 2024. Online registration for these vacancies will commence on April 1, 2024, and conclude on April 30, 2024. The examination for these positions is tentatively scheduled for May or June 2024

How to apply for the BSPHCL recruitment 2024?

  • Locate the 'Apply Online' link provided in the recruitment notification and click on it.
  • Fill in the required details accurately in the application form.
  • Upload the necessary documents, including educational certificates, domicile certificates, and others as specified.
  • Pay the application fee corresponding to your category.
  • Review your application thoroughly and submit it before the stipulated deadline.

Age Criteria

The age criteria vary across different categories of applicants. Individuals under the Unreserved or General category must be aged between 21 and 37 years. For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes or Scheduled Castes, the age limit is extended up to 42 years, while applicants from Economically Backward Classes, Backward Classes, and female candidates have an upper age limit of 40 years.

Application Fee

The registration fee for the Unreserved, Economically Backward Classes, and Backward Classes is set at Rs. 1500. However, for applicants belonging to Scheduled Tribes or Scheduled Castes with Bihar domicile, as well as for Divyang candidates, the application fee is reduced to Rs. 375.

Selection Process

The selection process varies for different positions within BSPHCL 2024. Details are outlined as follows:

For roles such as Technician Grade III, Junior Accounts Clerk, Junior Electrical Engineer (GTO), Correspondence Clerk, and Store Assistant, candidates must undergo a Computer Based test in the MCQ format. A merit list is prepared based on this test, and candidates who meet the cutoff criteria are invited for Document Verification.
Candidates applying for technical positions like Assistant Executive Engineer (GTO) are selected based on their scores in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), and they are exempted from taking any CBT. Following the evaluation of GATE scores, a merit list is prepared similarly to the CBT process, followed by document verification.
