The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the official exam date notification for Class 10 and Class 12 examination for the academic session 2018.
When will be the exams conducted?
The chairman added that the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) was aiming for complete digitization of both secondary and senior secondary education in the state.
Further, speaking about the exam schedule, the Board's chairman, Anand Kishore, said that the calendar has been released to give sufficient time for students to prepare for the board exams.
Important dates to remember:
For class 12: The intermediate Class 12 application form will be available from October 3, 2017, and students must fill these forms by October 20, 2017, or with a late fee by October 25, 2017
For class 10: The board exam form for Class 10 students will be available from December 29, 2017, to January 8, 2018, and the last date to submit the exam form with late fees is January 12, 2018.
The outline of the BSEB plans:
- In addition to this, the BSEB would also be spending Rs 25 crore on office automation and modernisation.
- Further, the board aims to be one of the top three boards in the country in the coming years.
- The board has enough funds to manage the budget deficits that are incurred, Kishore added.
- The board is also planning to recruit consultancy agencies to gain insight on IT, infrastructure, manpower, office automation and best practices required for the smooth conduct of exams.
For admission in Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, forms will be filled up between November 6, 2017, and December 5, 2017, this year.
Preliminary test will be held on December 24, 2017, and main examination on February 4, 2017.
According to the official information on the BSEB website, the Bihar School Examination Board is established for holding and conducting an examination at the end of the Secondary School stage, for prescribing course of studies for such examination and for carrying out such other objects and duties as may be considered necessary for the purpose as stated in the Act, Rules and Regulations of the Board. Normally every year the Bihar School Examination Board conducts Annual Secondary School Examination in the month of February/ March and Supplementary School Examination in the month of August/September on the basis of course/syllabus as prescribed by the state Government. Apart from the aforesaid Secondary School Examination, the Board also conducts departmental examinations (not on yearly basis) such as Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination on such terms and condition as laid down by the State Government.
