The Bihar State Health Society (Bihar SHS), Govt. of Bihar, has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates for filling 1,200 vacancies to the post of Community Health Officers (CHO) through direct recruitment to be posted at the Health and Wellness Centres (H&WC's) in the State. The online application-cum-registration process towards the same started on December 24, 2019 and closes on January 10, 2020 by 6:00 pm.

Age Criteria And Fees

Candidates interested in applying for CHO posts under Bihar State Health Society must have attained 21 years of age as on January 1, 2020 and not be more than 42 years (Gen/EWS), 45 years (BC/MBC and Females (Gen/EWS) and 47 years (SC/ST - Male and Female) respectively.

Candidates must pay a prescribed amount of Rs. 500 (UR/BC/MBC and EWS) and Rs. 250 (SC/ST of Bihar Domicile) respectively as application processing fee through online (net-banking/credit/debit, etc) mode only.

Educational Criteria And Eligibility

Candidates interested in applying for CHO posts under Bihar State Health Society must have possess a Degree in B.Sc Nursing/General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised University/Institution, and must working either as regular or contractual Staff Nurse, GNM/B.Sc Nursing under Govt. of Bihar as specified in the notification.

Candidates must also have permanent registration from Indian Nursing Council or any State Nursing Council.

Selection And Pay Scale

The selection of candidates as CHOs under Bihar State Health Society will be done through Shortlisting, Written Test/Interview and Certificate Verification.

Candidates selected as CHOs under Bihar State Health Society will be paid emolument in the scale of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 40,000 per month.
