Bihar Government has decided to resume educational activities in the state. It has decided to reopen schools and colleges with 50 per cent attendance. Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar has taken the decision to start offline classes after reviewing the situation in the state. He also assured that special arrangements will be made to vaccinate students and teachers. Universities, technical educational institutions, government training institutes and schools up to Class 11 and 12 will reopen. Bihar Schools And Colleges To Reopen

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar tweeted, "Universities, all colleges, technical educational institutions, government training institutes, schools up to class XI and XII will open with 50% attendance of students. Special arrangements will be made for vaccination for adult students, teachers and staff of educational institutions."

The state government will be encouraging schools to continue online teaching. The government will be conducting competitive exams and entrance exams such as JEE Main and NEET UG by following all the COVID-19 safety protocols issued by the central government.

Earlier, State Education Minister said that the Bihar schools and colleges reopening will be done in phases. Bihar universities and technical educational institutes can be observed as the first step. The last phase will be the reopening of primary schools and middle schools in the state.

Schools and educational institutes have remained close since March 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Bihar is one of the few states in the country to conduct the Class 10 (Matric) and Class 12 board exams without any hiccups. It conducted the Bihar Board exams in February 2021 and declared the board results of 12th and 10th in March and April, respectively.
