BHU CUET UG Round 1 Seat Allotment 2026 Released; Check Admission Status and Fee Payment Deadline
Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has released the CUET UG Round 1 Seat Allotment Result 2026 for undergraduate admissions. Candidates who participated in the counselling process can now check their allotment status by logging in to the official admission portals admission.bhu.ac.in or bhu.samarth.ac.in using their registered credentials.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round must accept their allotted seat and complete the admission fee payment by August 3, 2026. The university has also provided students with the option to either freeze their allotted seat or opt for an upgrade in the upcoming counselling rounds.
BHU CUET UG 2026 Round 1 Admission Process
The Round 1 allotment has been prepared based on candidates' CUET UG 2026 scores, programme preferences, category, and seat availability. The allotment list contains details of the course and college allotted to each candidate.
To confirm admission, candidates must complete the online acceptance process, pay the prescribed admission fee, and report to the allotted institute for document verification and other admission formalities within the prescribed schedule.
Candidates who fail to complete the admission process before the deadline may lose their allotted seat.
Freeze or Upgrade Option
After receiving a seat allotment, candidates have two options:
- Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and confirm admission without participating in further counselling rounds.
- Upgrade: Accept the current allotment but remain eligible for a better preference in the next counselling round.
If a candidate selects the upgrade option and receives a new allotment in the subsequent round, they will be required to pay the applicable difference in fees. If no higher preference is allotted, the previously allotted seat will remain valid.
This system allows students to secure a seat while still having the opportunity to obtain admission to their preferred programme or college.
Multiple Counselling Rounds Planned
BHU has announced that the undergraduate admission process for the 2026-27 academic session will be conducted through:
- Round 1 Seat Allotment
- Round 2 Seat Allotment
- Round 3 Seat Allotment
- Round 4 Seat Allotment
- Spot Round (for vacant seats, if required)
The university will continue filling available seats based on CUET UG merit, candidate preferences, and vacancy status after each round.

Candidates can follow these steps:
1. Visit the official BHU admission portal.
2. Click on the BHU CUET UG 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment link.
3. Log in using your registered credentials.
4. View your allotted programme and college.
5. Download the allotment letter for future reference.
6. Complete seat acceptance and fee payment before August 3, 2026.
