Bangalore University UG And PG Exams Postponed Indefinitely

"Bangalore University UG, PG and Engineering Examinations has been postponed until further orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic and transportation issues," said the Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor.

The Bangalore University has decided to postpone all Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Engineering Examinations, which were scheduled to be held from 19 April 2021. The University exams have been postponed indefinitely due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Bangalore University Under-graduation, Post-graduation and Engineering Examinations has been postponed until further orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic and transportation issues," said the Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University, KR Venugopal.

"Moreover, the ongoing bus strike of the State Transport Corporation employees will affect the students as they will have to face mobility and transportation problems because of which the exams had to be postponed. The postponement also took place as curfews have been imposed in several states due to the rising Covid-19 cases," mentioned the Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor.

Earlier, the exams were scheduled to take place from 07 April 2021 and then were rescheduled to 19 April 2021 due to the indefinite strike by the State Transport Corporation workers.

However, the Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwath Narayan, who also holds the Higher Education Portfolio, had earlier assured the students that the University examinations would be conducted as per the schedule and the new session will begin as soon as the examinations get over. The students would have an option of attending physical classes after initial online classes, the Minister had mentioned.
