Bangalore University to conduct online classes for postgraduate and undergraduate courses from May 5. The list of courses are BA, BCom, BBA, BSc, MBA, MSc, MA and M.Com.

Bangalore University has decided to conduct online classes for postgraduate and undergraduate courses from today, i.e., April 28. It has decided to conduct online classes for the students of even-semester undergraduate and final semester postgraduate due to a surge in COVID-19 cases and travel restrictions. The University is likely to start the postgraduate final semester from May 5, onwards. While the undergraduate online classes for the even semesters begins on April 28. Earlier, Bangalore University has postponed all undergraduate, postgraduate and engineering examinations due to the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bangalore University To Conduct Online Classes

The official notice reads, "All the principals of affiliated colleges of UG courses are informed to commence online classes for all the even semesters (II, IV, VI, VIII) BA, BSc (FAD), BCA, BCom, BBA, BHM, BVA undergraduate courses for the academic year 2020-21 from April 28."

Bangalore University has released a notice separately for Postgraduate courses online classes. The classes will be held from May 5.

The PG notice reads, "The Chairpersons of all the departments of Bangalore University and Principals of affiliated colleges offering PG courses of faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Education & Physical Education (MA/ M.Sc/ M.Com/ MFA/ MTTM/ MBA/ MCA/ MEd & MPEd) for the academic year 2020-21 from May 5 through online.

It also reads, "The detailed calendar of events will be notified shortly. The online classes for 1st semester (all PG courses) for the academic year 2020-21 will continue as notified earlier."

Earlier, the varsity had postponed professional college exams for all streams including engineering and management. The University has postponed the exams scheduled from April 7 to 19 due to the indefinite strike by the State Transport Corporation workers. Karnataka reported 31,830 fresh cases on April 27. Bengaluru Urban district alone contributed 17,550 fresh infections and 97 deaths.
