Bangalore University re-opens UG classes from 16th January 2014

Bangalore University, Bangalore, has announced the dates for re-opening of the classes for the Undergraduate courses in affiliated colleges for the even semesters.

According to the University calender of events, classes for the undergraduate courses have to start from first week of January 2014.

Due to some unavoidable reasons, University decided to extend the dates for re-opening of classes for Undergraduate courses.

University has conducted the Undergraduate courses semester examinations from 18th Nov to 12th December 2013.

BU decided to re-open the classes for Undergraduate courses of Second, Fourth, Sixth and Eighth semesters of B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BBM, BHM, B.Sc (FAD), BCA courses for the academic year 2013-14.

Re-opening of even semester will commence from 16th January 2014.

Theory examinations of even semester will commence from 08th May 2014.

Please Note:

• 2nd and 23rd February 2014 and 2nd and 23rd March 2014 are declared as working days to makeup for 90 working days in the semester.
• The Principals of the affiliated colleges are requested to allot the invigilation work to the teachers of major subjects such as Commerce, Management, English, Mathematics, Economics, etc., in the beginning of the theory examination and relieve them immediately for evaluation work.
• During vacation, it is mandatory for teachers to undertake theory valuation and practical examination related work assigned by the University. Otherwise disciplinary action will be initiated for dereliction of duty, in the case of University, Government and Aided college teachers and in the case of Unaided colleges attending to the examination work by their teachers is one of the conditions to continue affiliation and to announce the results of students of these colleges.
