The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has officially begun the Round 3 registration process for NEET PG Counselling 2025 under the Assam State Quota. Medical graduates who qualified NEET PG 2025 can now register online for the third round of counselling through the official portal at dme.assam.gov.in.

This counselling round offers a final chance for eligible candidates to secure seats in MD, MS and postgraduate diploma programmes in government medical colleges of Assam and the Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati.
Registration and Choice Filling Schedule
According to the official schedule released by DME Assam:
- Online Registration: January 3 to January 5, 2026 (midnight)
- Choice Filling & Locking: January 6 to January 7, 2026
- Seat Allotment Processing: January 8 to January 10, 2026
- Round 3 Result: January 11, 2026
- Reporting/Joining: January 16 to January 17, 2026
Candidates who took part in Round 1 and Round 2 counselling do not need to register again and can move directly to choice filling during this round.
Who Can Participate?
Aspirants eligible for Round 3 include those who:
- Have a valid NEET PG 2025 score issued by the National Board of Examinations (NBE)
- Meet the state quota eligibility criteria
- Are listed in the Assam State provisional merit list published by DME Assam
The merit list ranking considers NEET PG scores, state domicile status, medical graduation details, and other standard criteria set by the DME.
Number of Seats Available
In Round 3, the counselling process will fill 482 postgraduate medical seats (including MD, MS, and PG diploma courses) across participating government and affiliated medical colleges in Assam.
After seat allotment, candidates must report to their allotted institutions between January 16 and January 17, 2026, to complete admission formalities.
