The Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam, has officially announced a large-scale recruitment drive for 4,500 teachers in lower and upper primary schools across the state. This initiative aims to strengthen the primary education system by filling 2,900 vacancies for Assistant Teachers in lower primary schools and 1,600 vacancies for Assistant Teachers, Science Teachers, and Hindi Teachers in upper primary schools.

  • Educational Qualification: Applicants should have passed the Assam Teachers' Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), depending on the level of teaching they are applying for.
  • Language Proficiency: One of the selected languages in ATET or CTET must match the medium of instruction of the school where they seek placement.
  • Age Limit: Candidates should be aged between 18 and 40 years as of January 1, 2025. Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per government norms.
