As registration date for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) for the year 2014 ends on 2nd December 2013 midnight, around 87,500 candidates applied for XAT 2014 exam.
XLRI admissions chairperson Dr Vishwa Ballabh said, "87,500 candidates registered themselves for XAT 2014 exam."
XLRI, Jamshedpur, is set to conduct Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT 2014) for management programmes admissions in around 116 B-Schools across India.
XAT 2014 entrance exam will be held on 5th Jan 2014, Sunday.
XLRI had extended the registration date for XAT from 22 Nov to 2nd Dec 2013.
In 2012, around 60,316 candidates registered for the test. A total of 92,000 candidates had registered for XAT 2013.
But, now it has witnessed a lesser number of candidates registered for XAT 2014.
Compared to CAT, it has got declined by 9% in its registrations from CAT 2012 to CAT 2013.
A total of 116 B-Schools including XLRI, XIMB, LIBA, SPJAIN, TAPMI, XIMR, GIM, XIME, BIMTECH, IMT and many other B-Schools accepts XAT 2014 scores for admission to Management programmes in their colleges.
XAT 2014 will have the same syllabus of XAT 2013. Contains two parts and three hours time duration to write the examination.
Examination will be conducted from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM.
