AFMC accepts AIPMT 2014 scores for MBBS admission

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune has decided to accept the scores of All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT 2014) for admission to MBBS courses from the academic year 2014.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi is all set to conduct AIPMT 2014 on 04th May 2014 across the country.

Later, candidates have to apply separately for the AFMC in March / April 2014.

Earlier, AFMC had conducted their own medical entrance test to select the candidates for MBBS courses.

After announcement of the NEET exam by Medical Council of India (MCI) in 2013, AFMC accepted the NEET scores to provide admission to the both undergraduate and postgraduate medical courses.

"We have now decided to join the CBSE conducted all India entrance for admissions to the AFMC," said Air Marshal D P Joshi, Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services.

For medical pg courses, the college will accept AIPGMEE 2014 scores for admissions.

Candidates have to apply for AFMC online. College has proposed to conduct the admission through counselling which will be held online.
