Selection Procedure

On February 25, 2024, the Screening Test (preliminary examination) will be held. The Main Examination date will be notified later. Candidates will be shortlisted for the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) based on their performance in the Main Written Examination. No candidate shall be eligible for appointment to Group-II Services unless he or she passes the Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Exam Structure

APPSC Group 2 Preliminaries test is a screening stage that only selects applicants for the main test. The exam consists of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There are only two sections on the exam: General Studies and Mental Ability. General Studies themes include Indian History, Geography, Indian Society, and Current Affairs. For each incorrect answer, one-third of the marks are deducted. The test will take 150 minutes to complete.
