The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has postponed the APPSC Group 1 Main Exam 2019. The Commission has released a notice regarding the same on the official site. The APPSC Group 1 Mains exam 2019 scheduled to be held from December 12 to 23 has been postponed on administrative grounds. The Group 1 Mains exam will be held after Sankranthi. Candidates who have qualified the APPSC Group 1 (Preliminary) written examination are advised to track the revised dates of Group 1 Mains exam date 2019 on November 13. The official notice reads, "It is hereby informed that the Group-I (Mains) examinations (Notification No.27/2018), which are scheduled to be held from 12.12.2019 to 23.12.2019 (7 Sessions), are postponed on administrative grounds. The examinations will be held after Sankranthi and the revised dates will be announced on 13.11.2019."

The APPSC Group 1 Mains exam will be conducted at four centres in Visakhapatnam, Vijaywada, Tirupati and Ananthapur. The Mains exam comprises of five papers - Paper I, Paper II, Paper III, Paper IV and Paper V. Each paper is conducted for a total of 150 marks and the duration is 180 minutes. Candidates can appear for the examination in either Telugu or English.
Candidates who qualify the Group 1 Main examination have to appear for Interview round. The interview round will comprise of 75 marks questions. The final selection will be based on the merit in the Main examination (Conventional) and Interview.
