Applications are invited for GA Menon Memorial Scholarship

One of the renowned Technopark-based training division of the country, Toonz Animation India Pvt. Ltd. has invited applications for GA Menon Scholarships for animation. The scholarship will be given for Diploma in Digital Arts and Animation course starting from January 2014.

Candidates who have completed their Bachelor degree in Fine Arts (BFA) or Painting and Drawing & Fine Arts degree for Kerala Government Technical Education are eligible for the scholarship.

More than 99% students cleared third semester

The founder chairman of Toonz, GA Menon was the man with the vision, it was because of his hard work and dedication the Kerala state saw a great revolution in industrial sector. Sharing his opinion about the visionary person, P Jayakumar, CEO says "Menon was an inspiring leader, and this scholarship is tribute to a man with the undying spirit that influenced many people around him to aim high and excel." The scholarship's main aim is to promote and galvanize the talented artists who are not financially well off, but still they want to make a mark in the animation industry.

This 12 months course will cover key areas like character modeling, background, organic character texturing, lighting, character rigging, character animation and particle effects, dynamics and composting. The students who topped the list with their performance during the course, will get the opportunity to do 3 month internship at the Toonz Animation Studio.
