Amity University Rajasthan Hosts Grand Convocation For Class Of 2024

On February 25, 2025, Amity University Rajasthan celebrated its Class of 2024 in a grand convocation. The event recognised academic excellence, awarded Honoris Causa degrees, and emphasised the university's commitment to nurturing future leaders.

On the 25th of February, 2025, Amity University Rajasthan (AUR) celebrated its Class of 2024 in a grand Convocation Ceremony that recognized academic achievements and the relentless pursuit of knowledge. This significant event drew in a crowd comprising of esteemed dignitaries, honored guests, and the proud families of the graduates. Dr. Aseem Chauhan, the Chancellor of AUR, highlighted the university's dedication to instilling a sense of gratitude in its students, an ethos believed to be essential in the making of future leaders.

AUR Celebrates Class Of 2024 In Convocation

During this ceremonious occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Jain, shed light on the university's accomplishments over the 2024-25 academic year. He touched upon several pivotal areas such as research publications, strategic collaborations, prestigious awards, and notable visitors. Furthermore, the advancements in student activities, successful placements, and other key achievements were also discussed, showcasing the institution's commitment to excellence in all spheres.

A standout moment of the ceremony was the awarding of Honoris Causa degrees to two distinguished individuals. Mr. G V Sanjay Reddy, Vice-Chairman of the GVK Group of Companies, was one honoree who, in his acceptance speech, shared his personal success mantra: "Live, Love, and Laugh." He emphasized the importance of passion, nurturing relationships, and maintaining a positive outlook.

Similarly, Dr. M. Ravichandran, Secretary at the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, was another recipient of the Honoris Causa degree. He expressed his appreciation and discussed India's ambitious scientific endeavors, including Gaganyaan, Oceanyaan, and Mission Mausam. These initiatives highlight India's progress in space and earth sciences, underscoring the nation's commitment to scientific innovation.

The convocation also served as a platform to honor Prof. Sandeep Verma of IIT Kanpur and former Secretary of SERB with an Honoris Causa. In his message to the graduates, he urged them to "Stand on the shoulders of giants and look beyond," inspiring them to build on the achievements of the past while fostering innovation. Prof. Verma also highlighted the significant growth in telemedicine and telehealth, pointing out their critical role in making healthcare accessible to all.

In addition to the Honoris Causa degrees, the ceremony was marked by the conferment of an Honorary Professorship on Mr. Ari Gautier, a celebrated French writer and poet. The event also recognized outstanding students with the presentation of the Shri Baljit Shastri Award for Excellence in Human & Traditional Values and the Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan Scholarships.

Dr. Nitin Bhardwaj, Registrar of AUR, proudly announced that 1001 students were awarded degrees across various levels of education, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and distance & online programs. Moreover, 100 doctoral degrees were conferred during the ceremony. The event also celebrated academic excellence by distributing 37 Gold Medals, 28 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals, 75 Salvers, and the coveted Best All-Round Student Trophy.

The ceremony was not just about acknowledging academic accomplishments but also about fostering a sense of community and continuity. The Alumni Flag Handover Ceremony symbolized the enduring legacy of Amity, as the graduating class of 2024 embarked on a new chapter in their lives.

As the convocation drew to a close with the Chancellor declaring its end, it marked the beginning of a new journey for the graduates. This event underscored Amity University Rajasthan's dedication to nurturing leaders who are destined to make significant contributions to society.
