During the event, students were given the opportunity to create their own newspaper editions. This hands-on experience allowed them to dive into the world of news writing, media awareness, and the ethical responsibilities that come with journalism. Through this exercise, students gained practical insights into the complexities of news reporting and the importance of accuracy and ethics in journalism.

Mrs. Renu Sharma, the Head of School, underscored the significance of the day by stating, "Newspapers serve as a mirror of society and a primary source of credible information. Through this activity, we aimed to cultivate media literacy and responsible news reporting skills among our students." This statement highlights the school's commitment to educating its students on the vital role that newspapers play in creating an informed and educated society.

Students also engaged in thoughtful discussions about the continuing relevance of newspapers in today's digital age. They debated the significance of responsible journalism and the challenges journalists face while trying to report the truth. Additionally, the conversation turned towards the essential role the press plays in maintaining democracy, ensuring transparency, and holding institutions accountable.

Kumkum Attri, a Grade 9 student, shared her personal experience, saying, "Creating our own newspaper was an eye-opening experience. It helped us understand how journalists work hard to bring us the truth. I now have a greater appreciation for the responsibility that comes with reporting news." Her statement reflects the educational value of the exercise and its success in fostering a deeper understanding and respect for the journalistic profession among the students.

The American EduGlobal School is dedicated to promoting such educational initiatives, which not only encourage students to engage critically with the media but also cultivate analytical thinking and a sense of responsibility towards disseminating information. By focusing on these areas, the school aims to prepare its students to be well-informed and responsible citizens.
