All Sainik Schools Now Open For Girls, Check Admission Criteria

Now all Sainik Schools will be open for female students throughout India. Candidates must take the AISSEE 2021-22 exam for admission to Sainik Schools.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday announced that now all Sainik Schools will henceforth be open for female students throughout India. "Lakhs of India's daughters aspire to join Sainik School. They should have access to Sanik Schools as well," PM Modi stated.

 

About two and a half years ago, Sainik Schools in Mizoram opened their doors to female students. All Sainik schools will now be open to female students.

All Sainik Schools Now Open For Girls

Candidates must take the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exams (AISSEE) 2021-22 to be considered for admission to Sainik Schools. Only students in grades 6 and 9 are required to take the entrance exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is linked with these residential schools.

Students must apply for the AISSEE by filling out an online form and providing required documents like their birth certificate, Aadhar card, and, if applicable, a caste certificate.

One must be an Indian citizen in order to apply for the exam. They must be between the ages of 10 and 12 years old as on March 31 of the year they desire to enroll in class 6. They must also have passed or been taking the class 5 exam. Candidates for class 9 must be between the ages of 13 and 15 years and must have passed the class 8 exam.

Students will be examined on their mathematical and verbal abilities, as well as general knowledge, for admissions to class 6. AISSEE for class 9 will include Math, Science, English, and Social Studies questions.

To be shortlisted for the final interview phase, students must pass the AISSEE exam followed by a medical examination.

The Sainik Schools Society, which is under the control of the administration of the Ministry of Defence, runs Sainik schools.

The purpose of establishing Sainik schools was to prepare students for their entry into the Indian armed services from an early age.
