National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi) has begun the AILET 2026 registration process on its official website, nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.

The application window opened on August 7, 2025, and will close on November 10, 2025. The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026 will be held on December 14, 2025 in offline mode from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The entrance exam is for admission to BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, and PhD programmes. The application fee is ₹3,000 for General/OBC/EWS, ₹1,000 for SC/ST/PwD, and exempted for SC/ST women from BPL households.

Eligibility Criteria

BA LLB (Hons.)

  • Passed Class 12 with 45% marks (General), 42% (OBC), 40% (SC/ST)
  • Candidates appearing in Class 12 exams in 2026 are also eligible

LLM

  • LLB or equivalent law degree with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD)

PhD

  • Eligibility as per detailed notification on NLU Delhi's website

2. Click on the AILET 2026 Registration link

3. Create an account and fill out the application form

4. Upload the required photograph and signature

5. Select up to three exam city preferences

6. Pay the application fee online via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI

7. Submit the form and download the confirmation slip

Exam Pattern for BA LLB (Hons.)

Total Questions: 150 (150 marks)

Sections:

  • English Language - 50 marks
  • Current Affairs & GK - 30 marks
  • Logical Reasoning - 70 marks
  • Duration: 120 minutes
  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer

Special Notes for Applicants

Foreign Nationals, OCI, and PIO applicants are exempt from the exam but must apply under their category

If fewer than 100 candidates select a city, they may be allocated to their second or third preference
