AIIMS Bhubaneswar Opens Applications for Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme 2024

The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, is inviting applications for its Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme for the academic session starting in July 2024. The fellowship lasts up to one year, with 14 positions available. Interested candidates can apply online via the official website from July 30 to August 14.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria for each fellowship programme. Those working in government sectors need to inform their employers and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during the personal interview. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Anaesthesiology:

  • Critical Care Medicine: 3 posts, requiring an MD/MS/DNB in relevant specialties.
  • Paediatric Anaesthesia: 2 posts, requiring an MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology.

General Surgery:

Minimal Access Surgery: 1 post, requiring an MS/DNB in General Surgery or related fields.

Hospital Administration:

Health Care Quality & Patient Safety: 1 post, requiring an MBBS + MHA or MD in Hospital Administration.

Obstetrics & Gynaecology:

  • Minimal Invasive Gynaecological Surgery: 1 post, requiring an MD/MS/DNB with one year of Senior Residency.
  • High-Risk Pregnancy & Perinatology: 1 post, requiring an MD/MS/DNB with one year of Senior Residency.

Trauma and Emergency:

  • Neuro-Trauma: 1 post, requiring an MCh/DNB in Neurosurgery.
  • Trauma Anaesthesia & Acute Care: 2 posts, requiring an MD/DNB (Anaesthesia).

Medical Oncology/Haematology:

Clinical Haematology: 1 post, requiring an MD in relevant specialties.

Community Medicine:

Public Health Nutrition: 1 post, requiring an MD in Community Medicine, MPH, or a relevant doctoral degree.

Number of Seats & Required Qualifications

Candidates should be 45 years old or younger as of the application deadline. The stipend is Rs. 67,700 per month according to the 7th CPC, Level-11 of the Pay Matrix, along with NPA and other allowances. Sponsored candidates in Community Medicine will not receive emoluments.
