AICTE introduces career portal for 3 million students, offering fully-sponsored trip to Silicon Valley

In an endeavor to revolutionize the career landscape for engineering students across India, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and apna.co, a prominent job and professional networking platform, have collaboratively unveiled the 'AICTE Career Portal'. This initiative is poised to benefit over 3 million students enrolled in more than 12,000 colleges affiliated with AICTE.

AICTE introduces career portal

Scheduled to launch on April 30, the AICTE Careers Portal aims to provide freshers and job seekers with access to employment and internship opportunities, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, it offers indispensable career planning resources, including AI-based resume building, real-time job alerts, and community engagement features, as highlighted by the council.

The launch ceremony of the AICTE Career Portal took place at the AICTE headquarters in New Delhi, with the presence of AICTE Chairman Prof TG Sitharam, Vice-Chairman Dr Abhay Jere, Member Secretary Prof Rajive Kumar, and Nimrit Parikh, Founder & CEO of Apna.co.

This partnership stems from a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) inked between apna.co and AICTE in February 2024, underscoring their shared dedication to empowering individuals and fostering national progress. Against the backdrop of a dynamic employment landscape, this collaboration underscores their joint commitment to harnessing technology and enabling recruiters to seize emerging opportunities.

The strategic collaboration also presents a unique chance for students to join the Silicon Valley Immersion Program. This entails a fully-funded journey to Silicon Valley, USA, enabling students to interact directly with industry titans at esteemed companies like Google, Apple, and Microsoft, among others.

"This initiative is designed to equip recent graduates and job seekers with the platform necessary to kick-start their careers and achieve their professional dreams," stated Nirmit Parikh, Founder & CEO of apna.co.
