The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released the revised AICTE academic calendar 2020-21 for the academic session. Candidates can check the AICTE calendar on its official website aicte-india.org.
As per the AICET revised calendar 2020-21, the Council has revised the admission date for engineering courses till November end. It has also announced that the classes for the first-year students have been extended to December 1, 2020. The Council has revised the AICTE academic calendar 2020-21 due to the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The official notice reads, "Due to prolonged emergent conditions in the Country and requests from various State Governments and ongoing admission process of llT's and NIT's, the Council has extended the last date of admission to first-year Engineering courses (UG and Diploma lateral entry) to 30th November,2O2O. Accordingly last date of commencement of classes of first-year rs 01.12.20."
The Council has also extended the last dates for admission to the diploma lateral entry courses until November 30. Students aspiring for admission to the first-year engineering courses can apply until November 30.
Earlier in July, the AICTE had issued the revised academic calendar. The AICTE has stated that the new batch of PGDM courses would begin from August 10 and other technical courses including BTech were pushed to October 15. On August 13, AICTE has further revised the academic calendar to start classes for technical courses and the last date for the second round of admission.
