AFCAT 2 Results 2026 Out at afcat.cdac.in: Check Result
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the AFCAT 2 Results 2026 for candidates who appeared in the Air Force Common Admission Test. Candidates can check their results through the official AFCAT portal by logging in with their user ID and password.
The AFCAT 2 examination was conducted on August 8, 2026, for admission to courses commencing in July 2027. The recruitment process covers officer positions in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty Technical and Non-Technical branches, including opportunities through NCC Special Entry and GATE Score Entry.
AFCAT 2 Recruitment 2026
The recruitment drive is being conducted for approximately 379 officer vacancies. Candidates who qualify the written examination will be shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process, the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) assessment.
The AFSB process is expected to be conducted between October and December 2026. Candidates shortlisted for this stage will receive call letters containing details about their reporting and selection process.
AFCAT 2 AFSB Selection Process
The AFSB assessment is conducted in multiple stages to evaluate candidates' personality, leadership qualities, aptitude and suitability for a career as an officer in the Indian Air Force.
Stage I primarily assesses personality and leadership-related traits. Candidates who qualify Stage I proceed to Stage II, which includes further assessment, physical fitness evaluation and an interview.
Candidates recommended by the AFSB will subsequently have to undergo a medical examination. The medical examination is expected to take place between November 2026 and January 2027.
AFCAT 2 GATE Score Entry Cut-Off
Along with the AFCAT 2 result, the GATE Score Entry cut-off has also been announced. Candidates meeting the prescribed minimum GATE score requirement can proceed through the GATE Score Entry route without qualifying through the AFCAT written examination, subject to the applicable eligibility criteria.
