How to download the admit card for Indian Bank Probationary Officers Exam?

  • Go to the official website indianbank.in
  • Click on the tab, 'Career'
  • After that, the candidates must click on the link, 'Click here for downloading call letter for main examination (online)'
  • A login page will appear. Enter your details such as registration number and password
  • Click Submit. After submitting the same, the call letters will be displayed on the screen
  • Save it tot your computer and take a printout for future reference

The last date for downloading the admit cards is February 28

Selection Process

  • Candidates will be selected through an online exam (preliminary and main). Later, there will be an interview
  • Successful candidates will need to undergo a nine-month course (campus programme) at Manipal Global Education Services, Bangalore followed by a three-month internship at any of the Indian Bank's branches
  • Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be appointed as a probationary officer in any branch of Indian Bank

Probationary Officers Exam Pattern

The exam paper will consist of objective test for 200 marks and descriptive test for 50 marks. Both the exam will be conducted in online mode.

Objective Type

The exam will have 200 objective type questions based on the following topics:

  • Reasoning
  • English language
  • General awareness (with special reference to banking industry)
  • Computer knowledge and
  • Quantitative aptitude

Descriptive test

The test will be held for 30 minutes duration. It will cover the English language (letter writing and essay).

The candidates will qualify for the post if they pass in the descriptive test.
