University of Calcutta offers Ph.D in History programme admission 2014

Department of History, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, invites applications for admission to Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in History programme, commencing in 2014.

Eligibility:
Candidates should have a passed Master degree in Law discipline with 55% of marks from any of the UGC recognised universities.

Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be selected based on written test score and personal interview conducted by the university.

Please Note:
Candidates who already cleared the NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship / equivalent examination, or passed the M. Phil / M. Tech / equivalent examination, need to appear at the interview directly, by skipping the written test.

• The application form can be downloaded from the official website of Calcutta University.
• Application forms can also be obtained from the University cash counter by paying Rs 100/- in cash.

Last date for the submission of application form is 17th February 2014.
