Pondicherry Engineering College offers admissions for MCA Programme

Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC), Puducherry has invited applications for admission to Master of Computer Application (MCA) and lateral entry to MCA programmes.

Admissions are offered for the commencing session 2015.

Eligibility Criteria

• 1 year MCA Programme: Candidates should have bachelor's degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/Information Technology or bachelor's degree in Commerce /Corporate Secretary-ship/ Economics/ Business Administration with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications as one of the subjects OR

• Candidates should have bachelor's degree in Science with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) are eligible to apply

• Lateral Entry to MCA Programme: Candidates should have bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc (Information Technology/Computer Science) with Mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at graduate level shall be eligible to apply

How to Apply

• Candidates can obtain application forms and information brochure from the Office of PEC cooperative Credit Society, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry-605014.
  

In Person: Application forms can be availed by paying Rs 1,030 ( Rs 530 for SC/ST candidates) on all working days.

By Post: Application forms can also be obtained by post, for which candidates have to send a request to The Convenor, CENTAC-MCA, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry-605014

• Filled-in application forms along with all necessary enclosures should be sent in the prescribed envelope to 'The Convenor, Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC-MCA), Office of the Dean (Examinations), Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry - 605 014
• The request letter should be enclosed with two self-addressed slips (neatly typed or hand written) and a crossed demand draft for Rs 1,065 (Rs 1,000 towards the cost of application and Rs 65 for postage)
• For candidates belonging to SC/ ST category application fee of Rs 565 (Rs 500 towards the cost of application and Rs 65 for postage) has to be paid. The DD should be drawn in favour of The Convenor, CENTAC-PG payable at Puducherry. Payment by cheques, postal orders and money orders will not be accepted

Selection Procedure

• The candidates will be selected based on the merit list in CENTAC-CET 2015, prepared by CENTAC MCA

Important Dates

• Last date for submission of application form: July 03, 2015.
• Date of CENTAC MCA: July 19, 2015.
