Students looking to get admission into MBBS Courses through NEET UG 2022, buckle up!
Your NEET UG counselling 2022 is going to start soon. Yes, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is going to declare the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2022 counselling dates soon. So all the NEET UG 2022 qualified students can head to the official website at mcc.nic.in to check the schedule of counselling.
- Through NEET 2022 scores, admission to 91,415 MBBS, 603 BVSc, 27,948 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 487 BSc nursing seats along with 1205 AIIMS MBBS and 200 JIPMER MBBS seats, will be given to eligible and interested candidates.
- The National Testing Agency (NTA) - the body that conducts the exam - declared the NEET UG 2022 result on September 7.

How seats are allotted in NEET UG Counselling
- Seats are allotted based on your ranks and two quotas: All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota.
- All the seats in deemed/central universities, ESIC/AFMS institutes, AIIMS and JIPMER come under AIQ.
- For medical, dental and nursing colleges located in a particular state, there is 85% reservation for candidates belonging to that state. This is known as the 85% State Quota. The rest 15% of the seats are given to qualified students from other parts of the country.
- Different state authorities will conduct the NEET UG 2022 counselling for that 85% of state quota seats. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the counselling meant to allot AIQ seats to students.
NEET 2022 counselling process for AIQ seats
- Chances are there will be four rounds of NEET counselling 2022 for AIQ seats: round 1, round 2, mop-up and stray vacancy rounds. Students looking to get admission into the AIQ seats must register for NEET UG AIQ counselling on mcc.nic.in.
