Military Nursing Service 2019: Registration Process Starts For BSc Nursing Course

Online applications are invited from female candidates for admission to 4 years B.Sc (Nursing) course at Colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. The course commences in 2019. Candidates who complete the four-year nursing course will be granted permanent/ Short Service Commission in the Military Nursing Service.

Interested female candidates can start applying for the course November 30, 2018. The application fee for the candidates is INR 150. The admit card for the written test can be generated online by the candidate by the third week of December 2018

Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent in the first attempt with physics, chemistry, biology (botany & zoology) and English with not less than 50% aggregate marks. Candidates of the final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

The selection of the candidates will be based on the objective type written test followed by an interview. The written test likely to be held in January 2019 and the duration of the test is 90 minutes. It consists of sections such as general English, biology, physics, chemistry and general intelligence. Candidates who have qualified in the written test will be called for an interview, which will be held during April 2019.

The applicants should satisfy the medical standards applicable for Commission in the Armed Forces. as amended from time to time. X-Ray examination of chest and USG (of abdomen & pelvis) will be done. Minimum height should not be less than 148 cm (relaxed by 5cm in case of candidates belonging to Western Himalayan region, Eastern Himalayan region and Scheduled Tribes).
