Maharashtra govt mulling plan on skill development for students

Nashik, March 9: Maharashtra Government will soon prepare a master plan to boost skills among students, state education minister Vinod Tawde said here today.

"We will prepare the master plan on skill education with an aim to develop skills of students," Tawde said at a workshop organised jointly by the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), 'Srujan' and State Technical Education Board.

He said government was also weighing an option of providing Yoga education through a dedicated university.

The minister then paid a visit to 'Dipex-2015', an ongoing exhibition showcasing inventions of students. On the display at the exhibition are a pedal-operated purifier system, a multi-direction dumping system and 350 other projects.
