KCET Counselling 2022 is done by the KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) to distribute courses and colleges to qualified students based on their merit and preferences. Just to remind you, admission can be denied to even a qualified student if s/he doesn't take part in counselling. So, do participate. It's easy and online.
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2022 is organized for admissions into BTech courses offered by the 204 participating engineering colleges in the state. Shortlisted students will have to get their documents, and certificates verified by the concerned BEO office. Short-listed students have to present the following original documents for verification.
The KCET 2022 document verification will be carried out across three sessions -
- 1st session: 9:30 am to 11 am
- 2nd session: 11:15 pm to 1:15 pm
- 3rd session: 2 pm onwards

KCET Counselling 2022: List Of Required Documents
- KCET 2022 application form printout.
- Proof of application fee payment.
- KCET 2022 admit card.
- Marksheet of SSLC/10th Standard.
- Marksheet of 2nd PUC/12th Standard.
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Study Certificate Countersigned by the concerned BEO/DDPI.
Caste certificate (if required)
KCET Document Verification: List of Documents to be kept ready only if required
- Kannada Medium Certificate.
- Rural Study Certificate.
- Caste / Caste Income Certificate.
- Parent's study certificate / Parent's Hometown certificate / Parent's Domicile certificate / Parent's Employment certificate / Parent's Cumulative Record / Parent's Marks Card, etc., for the candidates claiming eligibility for Government seats based on the domicile/study/employment of the parent.
- Duly sworn in Affidavit of the candidate who claims eligibility under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses C and D. (Regarding Mother Tongue).

KCET 2022 Counselling Process: from document verification to final admission
What after KCET 2022 document verification?
Receive an acknowledgement card and a verification slip: Following verification, the candidate will receive their original documents back, and KEA will keep one set of photocopies of each document. KEA will issue an acknowledgement card and a verification slip to students thereafter. Please do check it before leaving the verification counter.
Choice Filling and Locking: The verified students now must log in with their CET number in order to fill up their top choices for colleges and courses. These choices must be in the order of your preferences. The candidates will get the chance to review the course-specific, category-specific, and college-specific seat matrix before making their selections. you can add to, reorganise, or change the selections before the last date. Once you have sealed your selections, there will be no going back.
Allotment of Seats: The mock seat allotment result for the KCET 2022 will be made public after the choice filling process is complete. It gives the student a fair idea about how much chance they have in getting the colleges and courses they want. After the mock allotment result is published, the candidates will have the option of changing their preferences. With the CET number, candidates can monitor the status of their allocation online. During KCET 2022 counselling, there will be two allotment rounds, one extended session, and one special round. The candidates must download and print the provisional allotment letter.
Reporting at Allotted Institutes: To confirm admission, the chosen candidates must visit the allotted college with relevant documents, the letter of allotment, and the required amount fee.

KCET Cutoff 2022
- The cutoff of KCET 2022 will be released after each round of the counselling process on the official website at kea.kar.nic.in.
